How to create surcharge

Creating a custom surcharge rule is a simple process that allows you to apply extra fees based on specific conditions, helping you balance your pricing strategy and cover additional order expenses.

Follow the steps below to create a surcharge in your Magento store:

Navigate to Stores -> Surcharges. This will take you to the surcharge management page, where you can add, edit, or delete surcharges.
Click on the Add New Surcharge button.
Start by filling in the General information for your surcharge. A detailed description of the fields can be found in the Surcharges section of our documentation.

In the Applying conditions tab, define the conditions that must be met for the surcharge to apply.

In the Store and Customer tab, choose which customer groups and store views the surcharge will apply to. You can target specific groups that generate additional expenses.

In the Rates and Thresholds tab, set the minimum and maximum surcharge thresholds to ensure flexibility in applying the fee. You can establish limits for when surcharges should be applied.

Once you’ve filled in all the required fields, click Save to add the rule.
