Custom Search Weight

Using Custom Search Weight you can change the position of the individual product or the category in the search results

Usually if you need to improve relevance of the search, you should change Global Search Settings. However, in some cases you need to move up/down only individual products or categories in the search results.

To do this, open the product or category edit page and find attribute Search Weight.

By changing this attribute, you can change the position of the individual product or category in the search results. You can set it's value from -100 (product or category will always appear at the bottom of search results list) to 100 (product or category will always appear at the top of search results list).

Also, you can set an additional weight for any individual product or category (products in this category). The extension adds a new attribute Search Weight on the Product edit page and the Category edit page.

Additional priority must be from -100 (always appear last in the search results) to 100 (always appear first in the search results).
