Configuring the extension

These steps focus on the initial module configuration.

The Improved Sorting extension provides highly flexible sorting options for category pages, search results pages, and catalog widgets, using sorting criteria or global ranking factors. To fully benefit from the extension, we recommend configuring the following:

1. Create sorting criteria

Add and configure your first sorting criterion as described on the how to configure sorting criterion page. The extension includes pre-created, ready-to-use templates based on common requirements.

2. Add ranking factors

Sorting via basic criteria based on templates may not meet your needs and will not reveal all the possibilities of the extension. If you want to fine-tune and deeply customize your sorting, visit the how to configure ranking factor page and use them in your sorting criteria or as global ranking factors, automatically applying the defined sorting order across the entire store.
