Configuring the extension

Use a steps below to quickly tackle our key features.

Core search settings

  1. Set and configure search engine

    The extension supports multiple search engines: MySQL, Sphinx search engine, Elasticsearch, and OpenSearch. Configure existing engine or install the search engine if required, that best suits your needs.

  2. Configure search indexes

    Navigate to the Search indexes section and create indexes for products, categories, CMS pages, etc.

  3. Configure autocomplete

    Navigate to Autocomplete settings, set the template, and specify which product attributes will appear in the search.

Extension is configured and will search products in your store. Use the steps below to fine-tune the extension and improve the relevance and accuracy of your search results.


Improve search results

  1. Set Spell correction

    Enable the Search Spell Correction options to make search more friendly for your customers.

  2. Add Synonyms and Stopwords

    Add Synonyms and Stopwords to expand search results.

  3. Use Long-tail

    Use Long-tail option to correct search results for words containing dashes or other non-alphabetic symbols.

  4. Configure Landing pages

    Create a set of Landing pages to create convenient hubs for your most important products.


Check search results

  1. Check Search results

    Use the Search results validator to check the visibility of the product in the search results and their accuracy.

  2. Analyze your searches

    Analyze your searches with our Efficiency reports and build flexible search policies to boost your store capabilities to the top.
