How to manage MCP users
MCP Users grid
Navigate to System -> MCP Server -> MCP Users to see all admin users and their MCP connection status.
The grid shows:
- Admin user — name and email
- MCP status — enabled or disabled
- Client name — which AI client is connected
- Token status — active, expired, or revoked
- Last activity — when the last tool call was made
- Expires at — when the current token expires
Enable or disable MCP access
You can enable or disable MCP access for any admin user:
- Navigate to System -> Permissions -> All Users and click on a user.
- Open the MCP Info tab.
- Change the MCP Access dropdown to Enabled or Disabled.
- Enter your current admin password for confirmation.
- Click Save.
note
When MCP access is disabled, all active tokens for that user are immediately revoked. The user's AI clients will lose their connection. When access is re-enabled, the user must re-authorize each client.
Revoke tokens
Revoke all tokens for a user
- Navigate to System -> Permissions -> All Users and click on a user.
- Open the MCP Info tab.
- Click Revoke All Tokens.
- Confirm the action.
Revoke a specific token
- Navigate to System -> MCP Server -> MCP Users.
- Find the token in the grid.
- Click Revoke in the Actions column.
Mass revoke
- Navigate to System -> MCP Server -> MCP Users.
- Select multiple rows using the checkboxes.
- Choose Revoke from the Actions dropdown and click Submit.
MCP Info tab
Each admin user has an MCP Info tab on their edit page (System -> Permissions -> All Users -> [User] -> MCP Info). This tab shows:
- MCP Access status — enable/disable toggle
- Connection summary — number of connected clients, active/expired tokens, last tool usage
- Show Details button — opens a modal with a detailed token grid
- AI Client Configuration — setup instructions for each supported AI client, with the correct MCP Server URL and configuration values pre-filled
Admins can also see their own MCP status on the Account Setting page (click your username in the top-right corner of the admin panel).
