How to create a LinkedIn App Project
To configure a LinkedIn social account for login, navigate to the Configuration section, enable LinkedIn, and fill in all required fields.
Follow the steps below to create and configure your LinkedIn App.

Login in the LinkedIn Developer Portal with your LinkedIn account. On the portal, click My Apps -> Create App to start.

Create a new application. Click Create App and enter the required fields:
- App Name (e.g.,
LinkedIn Social Login) - App Logo
- LinkedIn Page (your company page) — or create one if needed

Add the Product for Login. Go to the Products tab of your newly created app, find and add the product "Sign in with LinkedIn using OpenID Connect".

Configure Authentication & Redirect URI. Navigate to Auth or Authentication Settings.
- Under OAuth 2.0 settings add your store’s Redirect URI.
This URI must exactly match the value in your Social Login settings in the Redirect URI field in the Social Login extension configuration. - Typical scopes for basic login:
r_liteprofile,r_emailaddress,openid
- Under OAuth 2.0 settings add your store’s Redirect URI.

Configure app basic settings. Go to Settings -> Basic and fill in:
- Company or LinkedIn Page association (mandatory)
- App Domain
- Privacy Policy URL
- Terms of Service URL
- Website URL

Go to Auth or Keys & Secrets section of your app and copy Client ID, Client Secret. Paste these into the LinkedIn section of your Social Login extension configuration.

Set app status to live (production). By default your LinkedIn app is in sandbox/development mode. Switch it to live/production so actual users can use login — not just admins and testers.
Your LinkedIn App Project is now ready for use in Social Login integration.
