Stock Value by Supplier

This page breaks down the total inventory value by supplier — useful for procurement budgeting, supplier negotiations, and identifying where capital is concentrated.

Navigate to Stores -> Inventory Planner -> Stock Value by Supplier to access the grid.

Grid columns

Each row represents one supplier. Products not assigned to any supplier appear in an Unassigned row.

  • Supplier: supplier name.
  • SKUs: number of distinct products supplied by this supplier.
  • Units on Hand: total on-hand quantity across all products supplied by this supplier.
  • Total Stock Value: sum of on-hand quantity × unit cost for all products supplied by this supplier. Products without a cost are excluded.

The Grand total (each SKU counted once): figure below the grid shows the de-duplicated total across all suppliers — each product counted once regardless of how many suppliers it is assigned to.

note

A product assigned to more than one supplier is counted in full under each of its suppliers, so the per-supplier rows can legitimately add up to more than the grand total. The footer reconciles this overlap.

Filtering

Use the Supplier filter to narrow the grid to one or more suppliers. The grand total footer updates to reflect the filtered set.

Export

Use the Export button to download the current view as a CSV or Excel XML file. The export reflects all active filters and includes all pages of results.
