Connect an AI assistant

An AI assistant connects to your workspace over MCP and works with your conversations, knowledge base, FAQ and guidance. What it may and may not do is listed in API & AI agents.

1. Copy the MCP server URL​

  • Open the eChat backend from Magento admin: Stores -> Configuration -> Mirasvit Extensions -> eChat, then Configure Chat.
  • Go to Settings -> API & MCP and copy the MCP server URL. It looks like https://echat.mirasvit.com/mcp/<instance-id>.

2. Add it to your assistant​

  • In your AI assistant, add the URL as a custom (remote) MCP server.
  • The assistant opens an eChat page in your browser. It shows which application is asking and what it will be able to do. Click Allow.
tip

The approval page needs you to be signed in to the eChat backend in the same browser. If it asks you to sign in first, open eChat from Magento admin as in step 1, then reload the page.

Assistants configured with a header​

Assistants that are configured with a header instead of signing in can use the access key from Settings -> API & MCP:
