How to remove personal data and account

Our extension provides tools to remove user personal data and account from the store. The customer can't request to remove personal data and account while they have incomplete or open orders.
Here's how it works:

  1. Ensure that you enable the option in Stores -> Configuration -> GDPR -> Personal Data Protection -> Remove Personal Data and Account.

  2. Navigate to Customer's account -> Privacy Settings -> Delete account -> details.

    Note

    The Show link to dashboard in customer account option should be enabled in configuration settings, so the link to the dashboard is displayed in the customer's account.

  3. Press the delete my account button.

  4. Enter the password, check the box, and press the Process button.

  5. The customer sends a request to delete their data, which can be found in Customers -> GDPR -> Customer's requests.

  6. The admin approves the request, and the customer's data and account will be deleted.
