How to upgrade extension
Follow these steps to update the extension via сomposer:
-
Back up your store's database and web directory.
-
Log in to the SSH console of your server and navigate to the root directory of the Magento 2 store.
-
Run the command below to update the current extension with all dependencies:
composer require mirasvit/module-blog-mx:* mirasvit/module-comment:* mirasvit/module-vote:* --update-with-dependenciesIn some cases, the command above may not be applicable, or you may be unable to update only the current module. If that's the case, you will need to upgrade all Mirasvit modules in a bundle. The command above will have no effect in such scenarios. Instead, run the following command to update all Mirasvit modules installed in your store:
composer update mirasvit/*If the retired Hyvä packages are still installed (
mirasvit/module-blog-mx-hyva,mirasvit/module-comment-hyva,mirasvit/module-vote-hyva), the update takes them off by itself: Hyvä support ships inside the extensions, and newer versions tell composer they replace the old packages. Only Blog MX 3.7.0–3.7.1, Comments 1.3.0–1.3.2 and Vote 0.1.0–0.1.1 refuse to sit beside them instead. If you are upgrading to one of those versions andcomposer show mirasvit/module-blog-mxstill reports the previous version afterwards, remove the old packages and run the update again:composer remove mirasvit/module-blog-mx-hyva mirasvit/module-comment-hyva mirasvit/module-vote-hyva
composer require mirasvit/module-blog-mx:* mirasvit/module-comment:* mirasvit/module-vote:* --update-with-dependencies⚠️ Upgrade Comments in the same command, as above. Comments under a post keep their Hyvä styling only with
mirasvit/module-comment1.3.0 or later. -
Install the updates by running the following command:
php -f bin/magento setup:upgrade -
Run the command below to set up dependencies:
php -f bin/magento setup:di:compile -
Clean the cache by running the following command:
php -f bin/magento cache:clean -
On a Hyvä storefront, rebuild the theme assets, so the build picks up the Blog MX, Comments and Vote templates:
php -f bin/magento hyva:config:generate
cd /path/to/theme/web/tailwind/
npm run build-prod
cd /path/to/project/ -
Deploy static view files:
rm -rf pub/static/*; rm -rf var/view_preprocessed/*;
php -f bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy
