ChatGPT

ChatGPT supports MCP servers through the Apps feature.

Requires a ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, or Enterprise/Edu plan.

Cloudflare or other firewall?

If your store is behind Cloudflare or another CDN/WAF, you must whitelist the MCP endpoints before connecting. Without this, you will get "RFC 7951" or "does not implement OAuth" errors. See Protected stores for step-by-step instructions.

Prerequisites​

  1. Go to Settings -> Apps -> Advanced settings and enable Developer mode.

Create App​

  1. Go to Settings -> Apps and click Create app.
  2. Set the app Name to your store name or server key (shown on the MCP Info tab in Magento admin).
  3. Set the MCP Server URL to the URL from the MCP Info tab.
  4. Set Authentication to OAuth. Skip optional fields.
  5. Check "I understand and want to continue" and click Create.
  6. Complete the authentication steps in the browser.

Usage​

  1. Open a new chat in ChatGPT.
  2. Click the "+" button near the message composer, click More, and select your app.
