Blog category

Go to Content > Blog MX > Categories to view and manage blog categories. Categories are organized hierarchically, making it easy to group related posts and improve navigation.

General

  • Status: enables or disables the category. Disabled categories are not shown on the frontend.

  • Is anchor (Yes/No): if enabled, posts from subcategories will also appear in this category's post list.

  • Parent category: assigns this category under another as a subcategory. Useful for creating nested category structures.

  • Order: sets the position of the category in the list. Lower numbers appear first.

  • Store View: defines which store views the category will be visible on. You can select specific store views or choose “All Store Views” to make it universal.

Content

  • Title: the name of the category shown on the frontend.

  • Content: optional text content that will appear on the category page. You can use Page Builder to format the content visually and add banners, blocks, or widgets.

Search engine optimization

  • URL key: sets the custom URL path for the category (e.g., news-updates). If left empty, it’s auto-generated from the title.

  • Meta title: sets the SEO title for the category page. Defaults to the category title if left blank.

  • Meta description: a short summary shown in search engine results. Helps improve SEO click-through rates.
