Comments
General Configurations
All configurations for the Comments extension can be found in:
Stores > Configuration > Mirasvit Extensions > Comments
This section includes general settings that control how the comment system behaves.
- Enable comments (Yes/No): master switch to enable or disable the comments feature site-wide.
- Allow guests to write comments (Yes/No): allow users who are not logged in to leave comments on blog posts.
- Automatically approve comments (Yes/No): if enabled, submitted comments are automatically published without requiring moderation.
- Require email address from guests (Yes/No): if enabled, guest comments submitted without an email address are rejected. Logged-in customers are unaffected.
- Date format: sets how the date and time of each comment is displayed.
Example:
F j, Y→ March 10, 2025 - Comment order: the order in which comments are displayed on the storefront - Oldest first (keeps the conversation chronological so replies follow the message they refer to) or Newest first.
- Admin display name on replies: how an admin user's name is shown next to the store rep. badge when they reply to a comment from the admin panel - Full name (First Last), First name only, or First name + last initial (e.g., "John D.").
- Enable admin notifications (Yes/No): enables admin panel notifications for new comments that are pending moderation.
Reply notifications
Settings for emailing commenters when someone replies to their comment.
- Enable reply notifications (Yes/No): master switch for reply-notification emails.
- Notify recipient on: Direct replies only (notify just the parent commenter) or All replies in their thread (notify every ancestor in the reply tree).
- Delivery frequency: Immediate, Hourly digest, or Daily digest. Digest modes bundle multiple replies to the same recipient into one email.
- Send admin replies immediately (Yes/No): when enabled, store-rep replies bypass the digest and send right away.
- Email template: the transactional email template used for reply notifications.
- Email sender: the store identity used as the sender of reply-notification emails.
