Blog tags
You can manage blog post tags by navigating to Content > Blog MX > Tags. Tags help organize blog content and improve searchability.
General information
-
Name: the visible name of the tag (e.g.,
eCommerce). Used in tag listings and links. -
URL key: sets the custom URL path for the tag page (e.g.,
ecommerce). If left blank, it's auto-generated from the tag name. -
Store Views: select which store views this tag is available on. Choose “All Store Views” to make it visible site-wide.
-
Robots: overrides the global Default robots for blog pages setting for this tag only. Leave as Use global blog setting to inherit from Stores > Configuration > Blog MX > SEO.
It’s not required to create tags here in advance. You can simply enter tags manually when creating or editing a blog post - they will be auto-created for specific post if they don’t exist yet.
Tags on the post view page
Below the post body, a post's assigned tags appear as clickable links under a Tagged: label, each one leading to that tag's page. Tags render in the order they were arranged in on the post edit page, and a tag not published on the current store view is left out.
This region is controlled by the Show post tags setting under Stores > Configuration > Blog MX > Display settings - enabled by default. Turning it off only hides this row; a Tag Cloud widget placed elsewhere on the page keeps listing the store's tags as usual.
