How to configure the chatbot
The chatbot's appearance and behavior are configured on the EChat platform, not within the Magento admin panel.
Accessing the EChat platform
- Navigate to Stores > Configuration > Mirasvit Extensions > Ecommerce Chatbot.
- Click the Configure Chat link. This opens the EChat platform in a new browser tab.
What you can configure
On the EChat platform, you can customize:
- Chat widget appearance — colors, position, size, and branding
- Greeting messages — the initial message shown to visitors
- Suggested questions — the predefined questions displayed in the chat widget
- Chatbot behavior — response style, tone, and instructions
- Conversation settings — how the chatbot handles different types of questions
tip
Changes made on the EChat platform take effect immediately on your storefront — no sync or cache refresh is needed.
Customizing the chat widget
To change the widget's appearance, greeting text, or suggested questions:
- Navigate to Stores > Configuration > Mirasvit Extensions > Ecommerce Chatbot.
- Click the Configure Chat button to open the EChat configuration portal.
- In the portal's left sidebar, choose Settings.
- Click the Widget tab.
From this tab, you can customize the chat widget texts, suggested questions, colors, positioning, and other visual settings.
