Canonical rewrite manager

This page describes settings of canonical rewrite manager - a tool that allows you to configure canonical exceptions for certain pages. Configuration are placed in Marketing -> Canonical rewrite -> Add canonical rewrite/Edit.

General information

  • Is active: this configuration enables/disables the canonical rewrite.
  • Canonical URL: defines the full path that the canonical should point to.
  • Visible in store view: sets the scope of store views where canonical rewrite will be added.

Conditions

  • Rule conditions: sets the condition and/or conditions combinations used to define pages to rewrite. Blank rule conditions means only regular expression will be used.
    • Check URL for regular expression: defines the regular expression of the targeted pages' URLs. Only regular expression is allowed (for example, /orion-two-tone-fitted-jacket/). If the URL of the page matches this expression and other conditions are met, the rule will be applied.

Additional
