Canonical rewrite manager
This page describes settings of canonical rewrite manager - a tool that allows you to configure canonical exceptions for certain pages. Configuration are placed in Marketing -> Canonical rewrite -> Add canonical rewrite/Edit.
General information
- Is active: this configuration enables/disables the canonical rewrite.
- Canonical URL: defines the full path that the canonical should point to.
- Visible in store view: sets the scope of store views where canonical rewrite will be added.
Conditions
- Rule conditions: sets the condition and/or conditions combinations used to define pages to rewrite. Blank rule conditions means only regular expression will be used.
- Check URL for regular expression: defines the regular expression of the targeted pages' URLs. Only regular expression is allowed (for example,
/orion-two-tone-fitted-jacket/
). If the URL of the page matches this expression and other conditions are met, the rule will be applied.

- Sort order: sets a priority order of rewrite. If two rewrites can be applied to the page, the rewrite with the higher sort order will be applied.
- Comments: sets the description for internal use. Visible only in admin panel.
